Unvalidated beta. We have not measured accuracy or demonstrated that this index predicts profile quality, ranking, reach, hiring or sales. This is Link Visibly’s editorial checklist, not an official LinkedIn score.

What we review

Role and service clarity, supplied work context and contribution wording, a mechanical sentence-length signal, and qualitative or quantitative outcome wording. Results explain detected wording, the rule and suggested improvements. Numeric achievements and education dates are not required.

Relevance to a real audience, truth of claims, grammar, completeness, supporting-example quality and overall writing quality require human judgement. A dictionary match is only a text signal. It cannot establish that a section is good or that a claim is accurate.

Evidence and external processing

Individual audits use a local PDF or pasted text. Company audits can also use public company text obtained through an external data provider after separate authorisation. Returned company fields may be missing, outdated or incorrectly mapped. The visitor verifies the company identity and every supplied section before scoring.

Selected PDFs and pasted text remain in browser memory. Selecting images alone provides local previews. Optional AI visual feedback sends resized selected images to OpenAI after separate consent, when the API is configured. It is labelled unvalidated and does not add points to the text index. Provider processing and retention policies apply. Hosting logs and separate enquiry emails may be retained by those services.

Index and evidence coverage are different

Text index: matched applicable points ÷ assessable points × 100, rounded.

Weighted evidence coverage: assessable applicable points ÷ all applicable points × 100, rounded. This is checklist evidence availability, not the proportion of a real LinkedIn profile captured.

Unavailable sections are “Not assessed” and excluded. A partial PDF Top Skills preview and education carry no assessed points. Below 60% weighted evidence coverage, the overall meter displays “Insufficient evidence.” Contribution examples require an action and at least six words in one sentence or line; impact checks require an action plus outcome wording and at least eight words. Extraction artifacts are flagged for correction, without automatic point deductions. The 60% threshold, weights, example-length thresholds, 45-word sentence signal and detection dictionaries are internal editorial decisions, not validated scientific cutoffs.

Section meters normalise that section’s matched points to 100. They are not additional scores or a measure of professional worth. A 100/100 means the applicable patterns matched, including weak or generic text that may still need human improvement.

Goals affect applicability: general reviews exclude About audience and next-step checks; career reviews include next-step checks; client reviews include both. Company goals are client attraction, talent attraction, brand awareness and overall presence. Talent checks look for candidate audience and careers/application wording. Brand and overall reviews omit audience and next-step checks; their text rules are currently identical and do not measure brand awareness. Company service, contribution, specialties and URL checks apply to all company goals. Before/after comparisons require the same rubric version, goal and assessed evidence scope.

Human validation: planned, not completed

We will use a varied set of individual and company profiles shared with permission, across professions, experience levels and goals. Two reviewers independently assess role clarity, relevant experience, readability and supporting examples without seeing tool results or each other’s ratings.

Compare tool findings with both reviewers, record disagreements and reasons, resolve ambiguous criteria, revise the rules, and test again on a separate held-out set. Publish sample size, profession coverage, rubric version, per-criterion agreement, false-positive/false-negative patterns and limitations. Visual feedback must be checked separately against human observations.

No accuracy percentage is currently claimed. The included validation workbook is a plan, not evidence that validation has happened.
